Craigslist - The Blackhole of All

To bring those that don't know what Craigslist is, Craigslist is a community-based ad posting site that offers free posting services and is monitored mainly by the community and Terms of Service set forth by Craigslist.  It allows individuals various services, personal ads, classified abilities and so on in a range of cities.

So on to the problem I have been having with posting there.  The basic post is that I build custom computers; not in the sense that the cases are custom, but the parts configurations are made to fit individuals and their specific budgets and needs.  Craigslist is a tool that I thought would be interesting to try.  I hadn't any problems with it until someone contacted me to inform me that I was violating the Terms of Service of Craigslist for overposting.  This happened on multiple occasions, where twice I lost my temper with the people involved.

I completely regret losing my temper with these people, it was unprofessional and does not give the company an image respectable of its true intentions.  However, after reading the Terms of Services, I believe that after reforming the amount of ads posted and the interval between posts was acceptable.  I continuously delete posts after I have posted a new one, except for a previous one.  At any one moment I have 2 ads posted.  I find that this is acceptable.  Other posters(or in this case a possible single poster), gets others to flag the posts and have them removed, claiming them to be spam or in violation of the service terms.

Why would I leave more than one post up at a time?  If you were to look at the entire page in the city I post in, there are two other posters that have 7 simultaneous posts on the site and yet they continue to post more and other people do not have these posts removed.

Is it that I am offering a service that other people would rather not have available to people?  Is posting any ads now no longer allowed?  Is it that this one person that I went off on now has a personal vendetta against me?

Whatever it is, I am rather fed up with Craigslist at the moment.  I don't want to stop posting, but it seems that a set of individuals would rather prevent me from ever posting again than handling this in another manner.  Actions speak louder than words, but shouting doesn't always fix a problem.

Holiday Travel

I recently returned from back-to-back trips over my holiday vacation from school.  I spent two weeks with family in Hawai'i and then a week with the band in Florida.  This is the busiest my break has ever been.  In Hawai'i I visited with family that I had not seen in ten years since leaving the islands; a trip well worth it.  The first week I was was on a cruise with my aunt, uncle, cousin, father and sister (a first time experience for both my sister and I).  The ship stopped in Maui, Hawaii, Kaua'i and ended on O'ahu, where I spent the remainder of my trip.  It was an amazing experience.  I climbed to the top of Haleakala, the volcanic crater on Maui (very cold, I would definitely remember to wear long pants next time), swam the ocean, visited Kilauea on the Big Island, and hiked and kayaked on Kaua'i.  The highlight of the trip was reconnecting with family, I didn't realize how much I missed seeing them.  I also had the opportunity to take surf lessons, where I got the chance to say I stepped on wana, a sea urchin.

The second trip was an appearance at the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Flordia with the band.  That trip started the day after I returned from Hawai'i.  To save the university money, the band volunteered to drive by bus from the Great Lakes to Florida.  On the way down, one of the busses broke.  The entire trip was delayed by three hours and when we finally made it to the hotel in Orlando, we had spent a good 23-25 hours total on the bus.  Unfortunately for others along with myself, the bus that broke down was holding our luggage and had not arrived.  As it turns out, the band members that were on the broken down bus were dispersed throughout empty seats on other busses and the luggage had to wait until another bus came to replace the damaged one.  So at 6:00am the next day I went to get my luggage, take a long looked forward-to shower and then went to practice.  While in Florida I went to Universal Studios, all of the Disney parks available in the Orlando area and hung out with really great people.

Now that I am home, I just look forward to some rest and relaxation, hanging out with my friends from high school and preparing for the next semester studies.  It's hard to return to the reality of the working world after a good time, but once the gears get going everything else will fall in to place and I will be able to return to a school schedule(not willingly).

I have been gone a while, in an active sense.

As school drudges on, life goes on with it.  I've been busy with work and extra activities.  In addition the start of a company is taking place on this end.

On continues everything and happens is nothing.

After Easter Goodness

Nothing beats a Cadbury egg for Easter candy in my opinion.  Creamy, chocolaty, egg like...that's about it.  I've almost finished the after sale supply I got.  It's also so nice to be wearing shorts again!  Sure, it's 37 degrees F, but it's not freezing so it works.

Honest Intentions

If I could know intentions,
those true, pure, untouched
Then my heart could open,
my soul for only one

We don't know each other, yet,
my eyes linger to you
To better aquaint myself,
and you, slowly, shyly

But ask me not of my past,
consciousness, once darkened
For when your soul I first saw,
the beginning hardly matters

I know, we know, that it's strange,
to feel this for a stranger
My promise for you, truly,
is not but good intention

(posted from dA because I was feeling it)

Moments where you look for direction,
when the rest of you crumbles,
put on a cheery complexion,
and work your cares in mumbles.

I may not post often,
and reveal not much,
but with time I may soften,
